Explanation of WSOP
The WSOP (World Series of Poker) is held every year in Las Vegas and draw entrants from all over the world.
Although the WSOP no longer offers the biggest tournament events around, the main event of the WSOP is often considered the most prestigious event to win by many players.
The WSOP finds its origins back in the 1970 when Benny Binion invited seven of the best known players to the Horseshoe casino for a single tournament.
Example of WSOP used in a sentence -> Winners of an WSOP event are awarded with a WSOP bracelet.
How to Use WSOP as Part of Your Poker Strategy
The WSOP typically offers a large number of events and the schedule is released beforehand. The goal is not to try and play every event but to analyse the schedule before hand and see which events make the most sense for our bankroll and skillset.
While the majority of the games offered are No Limit Hold’em, there is also a decent selection of other variants also offered. Since the more exotic variants often attract less entrants, it potentially provides an easier route to nabbing a WSOP bracelet.
